I love Thailand! This will be my third time visiting. February is an excellent time of the year, weather-wise. It is generally pleasant and dry, with temperatures ranging from 24–32°C (75–90°F). Thailand is known as "The Land of Smiles" because of the prevalence of smiling as a greeting, a way to say thank you, or just in passing. The underlying Buddhist culture exudes kindness and respect. Most people are generally friendly and treat others how they want to be treated. Street food is fresh and safe and primarily vegetarian. Thai culture centers around mealtimes, with family and friends gathering over curries, salads, seafood, and steamed rice. The beaches are picturesque and tropical, and the water is easy to jump into anytime. There are some excellent dive tours. After the retreat, I plan to stay an extra few days and do some scuba diving. Let me know if you would like to join our party. Thailand is a profoundly spiritual and reverent place with magnificent temples, scenery, and a colorful history. If you participate in this retreat, you will enjoy six days of Hatha Yoga Practice, Pranayama, Meditation, and Sutra Study. The food here is fantastic! Two healthy and delicious meals per day are served. Your special week includes a waterfall day trip, a traditional Thai cooking class, one traditional Thai Massage and your airport transfers to and from the airport/retreat center. T

~Be Moved~
Most days, K-Lea offers four hours of daily led Yoga classes, including Pranayama practice and Sutra study
to dive deep into your embodied Being. Her layered language is both lyrical poetry and exacting prose. Her articulate instructions mirror Yoga's union of opposites. Her intention is to facilitate a sense of joyful freedom, igniting within you the strength, confidence, presence, and discipline for creative, positive change. K-Lea encourages you to reach out to her with Yoga questions or requests.

~Be Nourished~
Delicious and abundant food is prepared and served at the on-site restaurant twice daily: a buffet brunch from 9:30 to 11 a.m. and a buffet dinner from 6:30 to 8 p.m
Brunch may include freshly squeezed juice, tea and coffee, eggs, a vegetable omelet, wholegrain toasts, oatmeal/muesli with yogurt, or chia seeds pudding, superfoods, veggies with specialty in-house organic dips, vegetarian sandwiches or pancakes, and of course a variety of fresh-cut tropical fruits.
Dinner has a different theme each night, including Thai, Middle Eastern, Italian or Asian flavors. The buffet always includes salads and soup, with a nightly changing a la carte menu option such as Thai Green Curry with crispy tofu, Mexican Corn Tacos with refried beans, avocado, sour cream and salsa, Chickpea Falafels with sesame hummus and steamed cauliflower, Pasta with pesto, almonds and green beans and more.
Meals are primarily plant-based, with some seafood options on the dinner menus. For dessert, we serve fruits and occasional delectable mango sticky rice, an authentic Thai specialty. Our homemade signature tea is a perfect companion to your meal. Gluten-free options are also available. If you wish to order extra meals or drinks throughout the day, there is a full a la carte menu at the Life Cafe, open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.

~Be Restored~
Take some quiet time in the afternoon to explore, get a massage, journal, walk by the ocean, or whatever your heart desires. A complimentary Thai massage is included in your stay - remember to book your time! Thai massage emphasizes assisted stretching that enhances your yoga by increasing flexibility. The on-site Spa offers a soulful and welcoming healing environment. Say farewell to stress and return to your true self with authentic Thai treatments and intuitive healing therapies, and you will be sure to find something to recharge and rejuvenate on every level. The Spa offers a range of comforting services that will relax and refresh you. The Spa uses quality organic and locally manufactured products for scrubs, facials and skin treatments. Allow yourself to be pampered in an open-air construction on a stunning ocean cliffside.

~Be Connected~
Connect with your fellow Yogi travelers on memorable excursions, ethical adventures, and experiences such as hiking the majestic waterfalls and returning to nature. You will be rewarded for your efforts with a refreshing swim and cold coconut. Learn new skills in a Thai cooking class or venture out on your own, as there are several explorations around the island to discover. Hand feed rescued elephants at Koh Samui’s Elephant Sanctuary. Explore the island's underwater world with an afternoon boat trip, finishing with sunset happy hour. The island may be small, but it offers plenty to suit all tastes and preferences.
